What is Personal Quality?
Quality is an ambiguous concept;
"Superior quality" versus "inferior quality" are not objective terms;
Quality can describe something quite concrete or something more emotional;
People have different quality standards;
The quality people expect from others depends on who the other people are;
The quality people expect from others is not always the same as the quality they expect from themselves.
How do You Judge Personal Quality?
There can be a vast difference between what a person is capable of doing and what a person actually does;
A person's performance can fluctuate widely in different situations;
Different people perform differently when they are doing their best.
To develop personal quality, it is necessary to understand the above three statements. Person quality begins with individuals own standard for personal quality.
There are Two Standards for Personal Quality
The AP-Level - the actual level of performance.
The AP-Level is an expression of what a person is actually doing in the present situation.
The IP-Level - the ideal level of performance.
The IP-Level is an expression of person's innermost desires, expectations and demands concerning their level of performance.
A person can only be truly satisfied with his/her efforts when the AP-Level is close to the IP-Level. The difference between the IP-Level and the AP-Level is an indication of how much an individual can improve their personal quality.
